Air Conditioner Repair?
I have an air conditioner that needs some repairs. Can anyone recommend a decent and honest dealer.

look in the yellow pages for a place called A1 Garrett or Garrett something. he's your old country doctor type that's been in the business since before you were born and knows part numbers for everything ever made. it's a far cry from the usual "radio dispatched" pronto service. Garrett came out and spent about 2 1/2 hours tracking down an intermittent electrical failure in the compressor circuit, recharged the system, and redid some electrical connections. he only charged me the "spring checkup special" - $45 (plus freon). your mileage may vary, but I don't plan on calling anyone else for future problems. I would NOT recommend calling Fox. Their ads say they'll be there quick as a fox. I called them wanting them to come out the next day and they said it would be next week. False advertising if you ask me.
