Seeking Recommendation For Air Conditioner Repair

Question:
My wife and I are fed up with the three A/C service companies we have used so far. We're looking for someone to provide service in the Willobend area (SW corner of 610). Can anyone provide a good reference? We're getting pretty desperate.

Answer:
We have been using Westbury Heating and Air for about 8 years; they have provide good non-pushy service for us. (i.e. you will pay about $40 with no discounts for your annual A/C and heating check) but they will not try to sell you 'repairs'. (We switched to them after one of the others tried to explain that our heater was 'unsafe' because it took over 10 seconds before it came on...at the time I had the instructions on the heater which said with that model it could take upto thirty seconds before the gas valve opened. They also were trying to tell me that because one of the switches didn't work i also need to have it fixed. That repair man got very hostile when i told him i would be asking someone else for a second opinion) Anyway we had Westbury come out; they looked at the heater and agreed the switch was bad but explained the *only* problem was that when the heater turned off, the blowers would start up again about a minute later for a few seconds. They told me there was no reason to fix the switch if i did not mind this behavor;that was seven years ago We have had them replace the condensor coils in the attic;their price was resonable. Anyway, they will not be the leat expensive company but we trust them;they are a neighborhood company and the people who recommended to us indicated they used to work for one of the 'big' companies and got feed up with the tactics of those companies
