Air Conditioner Drip

Question:
My a/c drip spout is making a puddle next to my foundation. What kind of repair can I do to prevent this? I don't want it to eventually damage my foundation. Here are some pictures. The puddle is gone for now cause the a/c hasn't been running like it does during the day.

Answer:
The water is fron all the humidity removed from the air inside the house. If you have a basement floor drain you can run the drain line to it (the pipe just ends above the grate and drips in). There really should not be enough water to damage the foundation. My house is one-story with an attic only, no basement. The water drips right on the foundation outside the master-bdrm closet. I plan on clearing out the grass around the a/c unit and putting landscape fabirc down with white rock or pea gravel on top next spring. Will this be ok? Still shouldn't worry about it? It just makes me nervous everytime I see it. Is it possible to dig a mini-trench such that the water flows to a more acceptable area? Can you attach a hose of some sort to the drip spout and direct the water that way? I would think the gravel idea would just make the puddle less visible. It's probably not a big deal at all. Depending on your area, constantly damp areas are attractive to potentially house damaging termites...so maybe that's a concern. I'm like you... I don't like water hanging around near the house.
