Air Conditioner Or Fan?
To be more specific - for sleeping to at night when it's really hot outside... We put the air conditioners up every summer, and every summer, my husband ends up sleeping in my daughter's room and my daughter sleeps with me b/c we love the air conditioner going all night when it's hot and he hates the air conditioner and loves leaving the windows open and having the ceiling fan on. Sometimes I don't know whether it's the soothing hum of the a.c. that I like more than the coolness of it. My husband can't understand how I blast the a.c. then sleep with all the covers on! I don't know why I do it either - but I love it. So are you guys fans of fans? Laughing or do you prefer air conditioning to sleep to when it's hot and sticky at night?

I am with you - I am a 100% airconditioning kinda gal. For the love of god I dont know why we did not put it in the bedroom when we moved into the new house back in April... we have now had to move our sleeping quarters down to the living room in order to get a good night's sleep. I just cannot sleep when it is all humid and sticky (30 degrees celcius and 70% humidity at 2am is insane!), even with a fan on.. besides the fan hitting the body directly is not very good for internal health (especially those with weak stomachs). At least with air, you can cool the general room and then can put a cotton blanket on to protect the body. First thing on the spring 2008 shopping list - airconditioning for upstairs!!
