Automatic Garage Door Opener Wont Open
Hello I have a LYNX455 Automatic DoorMan Canada garage door opener. Today the door wont open with the remote, so I replaced the battery, but no luck it still wont open. I even tried another battery, still no luck. Something has gone wrong with the remote or with the sending/receiving board up on the opener unit. Has anyone had similar problems, and what was the fix. I can buy a new remote but hate to do that if its the send/receive panel. The door opens and closes just fine when I use the wall button, so the unit is getting power etc.

Be sure there isnt some kind of "lock" or "vacation" switch on the receiver.On the ones I have seen this simple slide switch will lock out radio transmission but still allow the machine to operate from the manual buttons. I cant speak to the Canadian Lynx opener,but the US made Chamberlain openers of 80's vintage have this feature and we have had to charge quite a few bucks just for explaining said feature.
