Sears Electronic Eye Garage Door Opener

What are you thinking? The eye is there to protect your children who are obviously playing around the door to much. DO NOT DISCONECT THIS "SAFETY BEAM" it is required on your garage door. ANY child hurt by your door even a neighbors kid will be your responsibility. Too many kids per year are killed by garage doors. Don't let it happen to yours. Make sure your SAFETY BEAM works correctly and teach the kids to stay the hell away from the door.

Somebody asks a question and you get up your pulpit??? Who the hell asked you? Go away. Find where the wires come out of the unit and I think you can just connect them to complete the circuit that the eye completes. What I did was mount the stupid things on top of the opener box itself. If you can move them, you can do that, or even mount them above the door opening, out of the way. I agree they are a pain in the ass. I didn't raise stupid kids and I also have my opener adjusted properly....hence no need for Uncle Sam to be telling me what BS I need to do to be safe.
