1 Garage Door Opener, 2 Remote



Question:
We bought a house with a Sears Craftsman garage door opener and 2 remotes. They worked fine until the battery died in one. After replacing the battery, the remote didn't work so I got out the manual to figure out how to reprogam the unit. I spent over a half hour last night following the instructions and trying other methods. I can get either remote to work ALONE with the opener, but not BOTH. Anyone have any experience with this? The instructions in the manual seem to be wrong or my unit has a problem.

Answer:
You should be able to push the program button on the garage door opener (usually a little button) then depress the remote control you want to program...remote should grab the code and you are done.... if it will only take one code. you may have to push both door opener bttons at the same time
