Craftsman Garage Door Opener

Question:
My door opener does not respond anymore to 2 remotes and the programmable vehicle button. My wired push button on the wall inside of the garage works fine. Any ideas ???

Answer:
Have you had any power failures lately? Is there a button on the back of the door opener to reset? If memory serves that use to mess up my remotes. If your opener has a manual reset button most likely your receiver is a separate part that is either on the wall or on the ceiling near the motor head. (Newer units have the receiver built in to the logic board & do not have manual reset buttons.)If your receiver is on the wall look for a lock out or vacation switch. On most of the older units the receiver was on the wall with the push button and the vacation switch is a black slide switch on the side. If you have this switch slide it to the other position & test remotes. If the remotes still won't work then you could purchase a new receiver & transmitters, but I would recommend a whole new unit with all of the latest safety features & then you could also get a wireless keypad for the outside. Wireless keypads do not work w/ most openers that are more than ten years old. If you need more info post back w/ model number of opener or the model number of the remote controls.
