Sears Garage Door Opener Help
I've got a typical Sears belt-driven 1/2 HP garage door opener that has their "Premium Control Console" wall unit. We lost power for about 20 seconds the other day, and now the wall unit won't open the garage doors, but the remotes still will. The outside keypad still works correctly so I know it hasn't lost its memory. Also, the little green light in the wall console push pad blinks very rapidly now, as before it was just a solid green. Is my wall console unit fried?
Answer:
I would guess it lost its memory and needs to be reprogrammed. Find your manual and follow the instructions. I believe some of them just require you to bring the remote within a few inches of the control unit and hold the button down.
