Troubleshooting Garage Door Opener

Question:
I have an 1/2 hp Sears Craftsman garage door opener Model # 139.53664srt1. It is the security + system with the keyless entry touch pad. My problem is this, everything has worked for the last 3 years, then last week the keyless entry touch pad stopped working. It has done this in the past and I had to reprogram it. I when to program it and it works just fine, but then the remotes quit working. I get the remotes working and the touch pad don't work. It goes back and forth, they will not work together like they use to. Never had this problem before. When out and bought a new touch pad..and I get the same thing. If I clear all codes from the garage door opener and I push the enter code I get a flashing light (led) tell me that it senses the openers ( there is a button that you push for the garage door opener to "learn" the transmitter and a light (led) to let you know that it is responding) Now, if I press the remotes the, light (led) lights up bright and if I press the touch pad the light (led) lights up dim. This is very frustrating and I have run out of ideas. Is there a web site that can troubleshoot garage doors?

Answer:
I am having a similar problem with a Sears/craftsman opener. The unit worked fine for several years then suddenly both remotes would not open the door, even though the door opens by the keyswitch. Could the transmitter/receiver have been unintentionally reprogrammed? How do you reprogram it?
