Craftsman Remote Garage Door Opener Issue
I replaced the batteries to the garage door opener remote and it still won't work. I opened the craftsman unit and found the dip switches. They are numbered 1-9. On my remote they are numbered 2-9. How does this work? Was I given a faulty remote? Please advice - & thanks for your help in advance.
Answer:
Your transmitter is a multi-button remote & the #1 switch on the receiver determines which button on the transmitter operates the door. So switches 2-9 should be set the same on both. One button would be "+" on #1 on the receiver, the 2nd button would be "0" and the 3rd button would be "-".
