Garage Door Opener Remote Range (or Lack Of)
> I have a liftmaster 1/2 HP garage door opener in my new house. The opener will not respond to the remotes unless we get out of the car and walk up to the door, or pull right up to the door and open the sunroof. I've replaced the batteries with no improvement in performance. Any suggestions?

Since you stated that the opener will not respond to the REMOTES (plural), it stands to reason that the problem lies in the receiver. I'm not familiar with that model/brand, but would suggest you check the receiver and ensure that the antenna system is working properly and unobstructed. If, for a flakey example, the antenna was tied off to an electrical connection (like the ground), then that could cause your problem. Also possible is a defect in the receiver. Lastly, the receiver isn't inside of an all-metal garage or a metal protective cover or anything strange like that, is it? Good luck!
