Garage Door Opener--Instructions?



Question:
New house, garage door opener, no instructions. It's a Craftsman model #139.53647SRT1 I've searched the net with negative results. Does anybody have a link or can somebody provide a PDF version of the instructions? I know how to reset/program the remotes, but the lightbulbs stay on and I'd like to know if there's a timer setting, etc. to turn them off. Also, the remote has 3 buttons. Why 3 when only one controls the door? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have this model. Only the deluxe model has door and light buttons. This model 674 opens the door only. The light comes on for approximately 4 1/2 minutes then should go off. There is no adjustment. The PDF file referenced in this thread appears to be similar to your model only newer. It should answer most of your questions. My daughter's Sears door opener which was older than mine when out a couple of years ago. I was disappointed to discover that the Sears files had dropped that model. I finally fixed it but it reminded me that the old saying that you can always get Sears parts, manuals etc. ain't true anymore. Ah progress.
