Does The Water In A Portable Air Conditioner Become Distilled?
We have a portable air conditoner and wondered if the water that it takes from the air becomes distilled? I hope I've chosen the right place for this question. Thanks for any replies.

This water is call condensate. It would be considered distilled since it came from vapor, but there is one problem with it. It condenses on the aluminum heat exchanger and dissolves a small amount of aluminum in the process. So while it is technically distilled, it is not suitable for human consumption. Dust, microbes, and metals are in it. yeah it is coming from vapour and it is condensed but is unpalatable because of the process of the condensation
