What Is A Portable Air Conditioner? And How Does It Work...?
I live in an Apt. with the most retarded windows ever. They open like, sideways and the screens don't come out or open. It about 900 degrees in the place now since summer arrived, any way to keep the house cool with a portable ac or something?

I have a Haier portable air conditioner. It works great for cooling a small room. It comes with a hose attachment and panel that you can put up to your window WITHOUT taking out your screen. If that doesn't work for the window, you can put the ac in the room that you want cool and have the hose go out into the rest of the hose and put a sheet or curtain up to the door to keep the area separated. (Please keep in mind that the rest of the house will be even hotter. The exhaust blows out hot air.) I know it sounds strange but I had to do that cause the room I had mine in did not have windows.
