Portable Air Conditioners VS Swamp Coolers?
Witch is better for cooling, Ive read alot on these but i live in San Diego, I know ive heard humity is important with a swamp cooler..but witch works best to keep a room cool?

Air conditioners keep it cooler, period. Swamp coolers work to cool a room down, and they keep it comfortable if the humidity is below 30% or so, and they are much cheaper to run. In your area a small window AC unit should keep 1 room cool. A swamp cooler is only really effective in a very dry area. Make sure any outlet you plug it into is not overloaded with other stuff or on the same circuit as you computer, when the compressor kicks in it will draw down the power and that can harm sensitive electronics.
