Anyone Tried A Portable Air Conditioner?
Our window air conditioner is going and we were thinking about one of these portable ones. It would have to cool three rooms. Has anyone tried one and what do you think? Does it cool quickly and do you know how many square feet they cool? Which brand name did you try? Any additional info you have on the one you tried would be great. Thanks!

We bought a Danby last month, and it works great for one large room. It isn't really portable though as the exhaust must be vented to the outdoors as it is so hot. However, it also dehumidifies and can be used in various modes, ie. cooling, fan only ,dehumidification only, or all of the above. Yes, I had a little GE on wheels and that little booger got really cold... I would have to turn it down at nite... I was in about a 13x13 bedroom remolding the rest of house one room at a time. It was heaven in there. mine cooled it down pretty fast..
