Question On Portable Air Conditioners?
do you have to use the widow exhaust hose when using a portable air conditioner. i see so many of them with an "evaportation" component so you don't have to empty the water container.

Yes by all means, the exhaust hose through the window is necessary to get rid of the heat that is extracted from the room air and doesn't really have anything to do with the condesate. The evaporator for the condensate only makes it possible to make the water disappear as vapor through the window heat-exhaust hose, this way there is no container to be emptied when full..
