What Are The Portable Air Conditioners Like? Are They Any Good?
I know that the portable evaporative air conditioners are not any good. I have been looking at a 2.5 kw aircon for our house. Our house is quite small so it should work okay. Can you tell me anything about them? Or recommend any good brands? thanks

Usually portable aircon has a big hot air discharge tube similar to tumber drier. The compressor is in the room, thus alot more noisier. The main disadvantage about portable aircon is that it uses the air in the room to cool the condenser and throws out the hot air via the said discharge tube. so you are throwing out cold air too, making it alot more inefficient. 2.5 kw is about 30,000BTU, are you sure abt that?
